3. Hair Comb

In this video Cindy is demonstrating the "Hair Comb" exercise.  This is a general exercise for movement and stretching of the shoulders and neck. This exercise can be done in sitting or standing.

  • If in sitting, sit up away from the back of your chair with your feet on the floor
  • Firm your stomach, but be sure not to hold your breath
  • Turn your head to the left
  • Tip your head down, looking at your left hip
  • Take your right hand and bring it to the back of your head
  • Slide your right hand down your head like you are combing your hair
  • Attempt to pull your right elbow slightly backwards for additional stretch
  • Hold for a count of 3
  • Perform 2-3 repetitions
  • Repeat on the opposite side

For those of you, like my Pop, who are hair challenged, you can do the "Head Pat", instead of the "Hair Comb" :)
