In this video Cindy is demonstrating the "Hair Comb" exercise. This is a general exercise for movement and stretching of the shoulders and neck. This exercise can be done in sitting or standing.
- If in sitting, sit up away from the back of your chair with your feet on the floor
- Firm your stomach, but be sure not to hold your breath
- Turn your head to the left
- Tip your head down, looking at your left hip
- Take your right hand and bring it to the back of your head
- Slide your right hand down your head like you are combing your hair
- Attempt to pull your right elbow slightly backwards for additional stretch
- Hold for a count of 3
- Perform 2-3 repetitions
- Repeat on the opposite side
For those of you, like my Pop, who are hair challenged, you can do the "Head Pat", instead of the "Hair Comb" :)
