Stretch 2 - Wrist Flexion/Extension

In this video Becca is demonstrating Wrist Flexion/Extension. These stretches are for the wrists and muscles in the forearms.  

 

  • Sit up nice and tall with your feet on the floor 
  • Extend your right arm forward, wrist back with fingers toward the ceiling like holding out a stop sign
  • Place your left hand across the palm of your right hand
  • Pull the hand back toward your elbow for a gentle stretch in the under side of your forearm
  • Hold for a 4-5 count, then release
  • Bend your wrist pointing your fingers toward the floor
  • Place your left hand over the back of the right hand
  • Pull the hand back toward your elbow for a gentle stretch on the top of your forearm
  • Hold for a 4-5 count, then release
  • Perform 2-3 repetitions as tolerated
  • Repeat on left wrist
