Stretch 5 - Cat/Cow

In this video Becca is demonstrating the Cat/Cow. This stretch focuses on your shoulders and upper back.

  • Sit up nice and tall with your feet flat on the floor
  • Pull your front body through, looking upward (to your tolerance) as you pull your shoulder blades back and together
  • Hold for a count of 4-5
  • Reverse this position by rounding your shoulders (Cat) filling the space between your shoulder blades, tipping your head down
  • Hold for a count of 4-5
  • You can repeat these positions with the hold for 4-5 count or move back and forth from one position to the other without holding, for general mobility
  • Perform 2-3 repetitions with hold count or 5-10 repetitions for general mobility as tolerated
