Each stretch has recommended hold counts and repetitions, which are just a suggestion. These can/should be adjusted, as needed, to fit your fitness level and tolerance.
Again, as with any exercise program, you need to consult with your doctor prior to starting. If you experience pain or the increase in pain during any exercise, stop immediately and consult with your doctor.
