Cindy demonstrates how to use a two/front wheel walker (FWW), which may be helpful to people who are experiencing generalized weakness, difficulty with balance, a lower extremity injury or surgery.
Two different walking patterns can be used with this walker depending on your circumstance:
Step To Walking Pattern (demonstrated here)- used with weak/injured or surgical leg with weightbearing restriction
Step Through Walking Pattern - used when weightbearing as tolerated (as you progress) for generalized weakness or balance issues for support while walking. More normal walking pattern. (see video- HOW TO USE: Front Wheel Walker Weightbearing as Tolerated)
