HOW TO ADJUST: Front Wheel Walker Height - E

In this video Cindy demonstrates how to adjust the height of a Front Wheeled Walker. This also applies to the height of a Standard Walker.

  • Have the user stand up tall, relaxing at least one hand down at their side
  • Walker handles should hit them at wrist level
  • Adjust height by pushing pins in on the legs, moving the leg up or down to the correct height
  • Depending on the walker, the labeled numbers won't always match front to back or side to side, so adjust on number of holes
  • Check height once adjusted to make sure it is appropriate for the user
  • Most walkers have a push button of some sort on each side, which allows you to fold in the sides of the walker, making it easier to transport in the car
