An Introduction to the Caregiver Series

Hi, my name is Cindy.  I am a physical therapist with Adaptive Equipment Corner.

We would like to welcome you to the Caregiver Series

Caregivers, we know you are out there and we know your job is not easy!

This caregiver series will be a continuously expanding series which can be used as a resource to assist you in the care for others as well as caring for yourself during the process.

The theme of this series is Take Care 2 Care to remind you that you must take care of yourself in order to care for others.   Watch for our Take Care 2 Care logo during the videos as a reminder.

The videos in this series are divided into three levels of care, GREEN, YELLOW & RED.

Green (Low)means the caregiver needs to provide anywhere from verbal or tactile cues up to 25% of the effort needed to complete the activity or up to "minimal assistance".

Yellow (Medium)  means the caregiver needs to provide anywhere from 25-50% of the effort needed to complete the activity or "minimal to moderate assistance".

Red (High) means the caregiver needs to provide anywhere from 50-75% of the effort needed to complete the activity or "moderate to maximal assistance".

We of course want you to use caution in all levels of care, but especially in the red level.  We want you to consider getting additional help or the use of an appropriate piece of equipment to complete the activity in order to protect your loved one or client as well as yourself.

Be Sure to check out additional handy tools under the Resource Tab on the Dash Board and the Downloadable Resources Tab below this video.

We would love to hear from you!  Click this Contact link to email us your comments or questions.  Also let us know if you would like to be added to our email list to be notified as we add new information to our site.

Again, AEC welcomes you to the caregiver series and please don’t forget...

Take Care 2 Care!
