Glut Sets - Hip

In this video, Alex is demonstrating Glut Sets. These are typically performed lying down, though can be performed when sitting as well. 

  • Squeeze your buttocks muscles together
  • Hold for 5 seconds then relax

***Depending on your hip surgery you may be restricted from extending at your hip, leaving you to tighten your buttocks muscles only, making sure not to lift your buttocks off of your exercise surface. Please check with your PT/surgeon on your specific restrictions.
